You are correct that Chuck is an accepted "American" nickname or deriviative
of Charles as is Charlie, although I don't believe that anyone refers to
"Prince Charles" and Charlie or Chuck. In this case my faux pax may have
inadvertently struck the bulls eye. Thanks for the FYI.
