Default SORT DATA ON A PROTECTED WORKSHEET!

Hi, I`ve ticked that box and it doesn`t seem to allow the sort whenthe sheet
is password protected. If I protect it without a password and write the macro
which unprotects , sorts then re-protects : then that is fine. But is there a
way to do it with a password prtected sheet (without it asking for the
password again!!!)
I think I`m on Excell 2003.
Thanks

Hi,
is there a way of allowing all users to sort data using a macro function
(key stroke or linked to an object) whilst having the worksheet protected to
stop formulas ect. being tampered with / ruined!

Thanks!
