Lately when I use Excel, if I try to open a file from within Excel the
file explorer locks up and I have to kill the application. However, if
use Explorer outside of office to navigate to the file directly and
double-click Excel engages fine. No other Office apps are affected and
I've tried to do a Repair.

(Office XP, Windows XP Pro SP3)
