Default Excel 2003 sheet containing look ups won't open in Excel 2007

Change so that you are lookup further down the column than is necessary.
Maybe a defined name for the range. I can take a look late this afternoon.
If desired, send your file to my address below along with this msg and
a clear explanation of what you want and before/after examples.

The look up function appears in each cell in a particular column, yes.
The weird thing is that I can open the same spreadsheet that we used in
2008
and all the formatting is OK - but, there were no lookups on that sheet.

If there is no patch for it, what would be the best way to recreate the
spreadsheet with the look ups in it so that it can be looked at by users
of
2003 and 2007? If i recreate it in 2007 will the functionality be seen in
2003?

By any chance are you looking up the ENTIRE column?

I recently had Office 2007 on my work PC. Others are still on 2003.
All
spreadsheets created so far are on 2003 and I recently changed one of
them
to
include look up functions from lists and, it has dates and formulas to
calculate network days etc.

Opening this in 2007 causes 2007 to crash continually and recover the
file -
all formatting is lost.

Any ideas on how to solve this?

Also - every time I open excel in 2007 it says it's in compatible
mode -
what does that mean exactly?

Thanks!
