To my knowledge you cannot post an external file object or link to an
embedded chart in Excel. Why not just embed the link or documnet to the side
of the chart.

It almost sounds to me that you're wanting to produce a PowerPoint effect
with text and charts in Excel. That's like training your cat to act like
your dog. Why not use PowerPoint for this effect and produce analysis with
Excel.

Just a suggestion, by the way.
