Default New Worksheet Default Number Setting

Thank you for your reply! I checked regional settings (under control panel)
and everything is set for U.S. so I don't think that's it. I've tried to
recall what I was doing that could have triggered this problem. The only
thing I recall was that at one point I had to go into Excel Options to
activate the "developer" tab so that I could enable macros. After I had done
that, I then noticed that I had the formatting problem. Perhaps I somehow
changed something at that time, but for the life of me I can't find anything
in the developer tab or in excel options that could be the problem. If you
have any suggestions, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks.

Curtis,

Maybe the Regional settings are overriding.

I"m using Excel 2007. I have a workbook where I do most of my work. Somehow
- for this workbook only - the settings have been changed so that when I
insert a new worksheet in the workbook, the new worksheet has as its default
number format: Accounting with 2 decimal places and the Swedish Symbol. I
have no idea how it got set this way, but I want to set it back to the
"General" number format. Note: any new workbooks I create have this format
as the default. Its just my one "working" workbook that has somehow gotten
setup such that new worksheets are created in the accounting number format.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
