I am using Excel 2007 SP2, Windows XP SP3...the macro was not changed:

it does not hide/unhide the tabs.

I cannot apply your answer to Excel 2007, so I still do not know what

Tools Options "View" tab "Window options" section
Verify "Sheet tabs" is checked

I don't know if there is a keyboard shortcut to turn these off, but it

have been done with code.
