Thanks,
I'm taking a look now. It seems that the old functionality that Excel use
to suuport (invoicing tools etc) are all gone. I'm working on a mac, I guess
I will end up writing a vba script that will maintain a file that stores
numbers (not my preffered solution as I haven't done that in a while...)
If I knew Access I'd probably give that a go as then I could also store
address information etc...
Thanks,
Hube

I want to create an invoice template in Excel, each time I create a new
invoice I will save it as a worksheet/workbook. I need a new unique
invoice
number to be automatically generated each time I open the template. I
believe I will need to create some form of database to store invoice
numbers
but I don't know where or how to get started with this.
I looked at data - Import External data but this is grayed out?
Can anyone help?
Thanks.
