Default date axis change bug???

Don't use all caps.

In Excel versions up to 2003, this is not a problem, so I presume you are
using 2007. If SP1 is installed it should also not be a problem. I did have
some issues with this recently, though, and discovered if I applied a date
type of number format to the axis tick labels first, Excel was much happier
accepting dates in the XY chart axis scale entry boxes.

GIVEN A SCATTER PLOT WITH THE X-AXIS AS DATES, TRYING THO ALTER THE
START/STOP DATES IN THE OPTIONS BOX IS PROBLEMMATIC. iT WILL not ACCEPT A
DATE, BUT ONLY A SERIAL NUMBER. It should DISPLAT the start/stop dates as
dates anot serial numbers. At the least, it ought to make the conversion
autonomously. HELP!!!!
