You may not have enough memory on the PC to open the file. I suspect the
file opens from other computers and not others. Try deleting some sheets
from the workbook to reduce the size and see if the problem gets fixed.
Often excel file mysterously grow larger than they need to. There are
methods that people use to reduce excel files that have grown too large.
Other solution, put more memory into the computers that can't open the files.

with a different PC name and the issue continues...what gives??
