Default Number Format

You have 2 choices:

1) Enter the number with the decimal point 4508.46

2) Enter the number without the decimal point and when you're done entering
all the numbers - create a formula to divide each number by 100 - then copy
and Paste special values

I am entering a number in a cell (not a formula) the number is $4,508.46.
I've set it up that I want to use the accounting mode with two decimal
places. When I enter the number it reads $450,846.00. If I don't put cents it
comes out to $4,508.00. What can I do so that I don't have to enter it
manually? (I have a lot of numbers to put in)

Thank you
