Default .csv Format, Hidden Columns, 2007

I had to get someone to give me a copy of 2003 and found that yes, the hidden
columns are included.

I've noticed other posts that recommend a way to eliminate the hidden
columns when copying/pasting, but not when doing a Save As .csv. Here are
the recommendations for copy/paste (below). Anything similar for Save As?

Two stages

Edit, Goto, Special, Current Region

Edit, Goto, Special, Visible

Then copy and paste as normal.

Are you sure? With my Excel 2003, the hidden columns *are* included in the
csv.

In 2003 Excel, I could hide columns in a worksheet, save the
worksheet as a .csv and the hidden columns/data did not convert to
the .csv file (which is what I want). In 2007 Excel, I have hidden
columns and save the worksheet as a .csv and the hidden columns/data
get converted over, too. Is there something I can do about this? I
don't want the data from the hidden columns converting to the .csv.
