gives me 03-Apr (I'm Canadian but 4/3 give 04-Mar). The same happens in
Excel 2007.
Open a new workbook and type it ion a new worksheet. Tell us what happens
In time you will find XL outshines QP (but I still love WP over Word)

displaying it as 4-Mar and not 3-4-2009. The numeric format is set as the
default under Control Panel - Regional & Language Options - Short Date /
English (United States). All of the cells in the column prior to the
blank
cell are also formatted as numeric date.
