Make sure Calculations are set to Automatic.

In Excel 2003:
Goto TOOLS--OPTIONS--CALCULATIONS--Check "Automatic"

In Excel 2007:
Goto the Formulas Tab, then click on the Calculation Options button. Check
Automatic.
