Default Number automatically divided by 100, why?

Hi,

Did you type the 2 into the box or click the spinner? It sounds like you
set it to -2 not 2.

If this helps, please click the Yes button

When i key a random number into a cell (in MS Excel 2007)

the number will automatically divided by 100

for example:
if i key in 2000 and press ENTER, it will become 2 immediately

if i key in 50 and press ENTER, it will become 0.5 immediately

I've checked the data format. the format is "GENERAL".

Something wrong with the settings?

Well, learn something new every day, however, I set "fised decimal
plasces" to 2 and when i put in 50 in it retuns 5000, not .5. Why is
that? Also, your first example of 2000 returing 2 is a 1,000 devisor
whereas the second example of 50 becoming .50 is a 100 devisor.
What's different?
