Select ... Tools ... Protection ... Unprotect

Select Range of Cells you wish to Sort
Select Format Cells
Select Protection
Uncheck "Locked"

Now select ... Tools ... Protection ... Protect
In the pop-up Menu ... check ... Allow Sort
Click OK
