Hi Jon

In an unused cell enter .6 (1-40%) and copy the cell.

Select the price cells and goto Paste Special Operation: Multiply OK

I have a worksheet with thousands of prices that need amending by a
certain percentage.

Is there a way of amending all cells in such a way, without creating
seperate fields for the answers ?

So basically it may read as £10 and I need to knock off 40% to change it
to £6, but the sheets are pricelists that are all in a pretty layout that
I dont want to change.
