Default cells autohighlighting

Hi,

Generally, this is the F8 key. You can turn it off by pressing Esc or F8
again.

However, there are other occations in which this is not the F8 key, in those
cases it may be good enough to switch to another program and return to Excel
or it may be necessary to close and reopen Excel. This is probably a bug but
its very intermittent and might be related to something not even in Excel.
I've seen the problem in Windows, on the desktop.

Hello,

I'm having a problem with multiple cells being highlighted when I click on a
single cell. This is a problem that seems to come and go. Does anybody know
how to stop this from occurring?

thanks,
Brian
