Default copy formulas from one worksheet to an entirely different workshee

Don't run two instances of Excel with a workbook in each.

Open both workbooks in a single instance.

I right click on the cell/s that contains the formula I want copied and go
to an entriely new excel worksheet, right click on the cell - paste special.
A window appears with Paste as:
MS Excel 5.0 worksheet object, Picture, Bitmap, MS Excel 2007 binary format,
MS Excel 8. format, Biff5, SYLK, Dif, xml spreadsheet,HTML, unicode text,
text, csv, hyperlink. I've tried them all and the formula is not pasting to
the new worksheet. A zero appears and no formula.

question: is there any way to copy a formula and paste the formula into a
completely different excel worksheet.
