Default Open Excel Document

Go into tools=Options and in the General tab, if "Ignore Other

Applications" is checked, then uncheck it.

If it is not checked or if this doesn't solve the problem, go to the run

command in the Windows Start menu and type in a command like

C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office\Excel.Exe /regserver

This refreshes the registry entries for Excel.

Modify the path to point to the location of the Excel executable file on
your

system.

When I double click on and xls file I get this message:

"Cannot find the file (or one of its components). Make sure the path and
filename are correct and that all required libraries are available."

I do not know how to check if all required libraries are available.

I can open an 'xls' file if I open Excel and go to File then Open and go
to
the location of the file and select it. But, thats the long way.

Will you help me.
