Default Date Format

You cannot create input masks for dates as you have tried to do.

Excel will accept dates only with a de-limiter such as / or -

If you want to enter dates as you suggest, you would need VBA code.

See Chip Pearson's site for quickentry of dates.

Or Ron de Bruin's QDE add-in.

I have formatted a cell for a date format and I've selected it to show
12/10/08 but when I type today's date as 121008 it shows 4/22/31! I've tried
this several times, any suggestions to fix?
Thanks!
