Default Excel 2007 - highlighting a column

I've tried all 3 color schemes and none of them improve the contrast between
selected and non-selected cells. This is a complaint I've seen here in the
Microsoft forums from time to time ever since 2007 came out. SP1 didn't do
anything about it, maybe SP2....

Thanks - I found this tool pretty handy.

So, you're saying that there's nothing I can do about the color schematic
when highlighting a column? I know I can change the background color of the
spreadsheet (using to silver, black or blue under Excel options).

I want to change the color that shows up when highlighting a column (by
clicking on the header). Right now, in Excel 2007, it's clear and I can
barely tell when I've highlighted a column. How do I change the color so it
stands out more? I don't want to color the column permanently, just have the
column stand out more when I click on the column.
