Many thanks Debra. What you wrote was quite useful. However I am sure that
guys from Microsoft are reading this stuff, and they have the right answer to
my question. I wonder why they are not kind enough, or even honnest enough,
to give it to all of us. I am a licenced user, and surely most of us are. The
bug is theirs. So please give us the right answer.

Instead of using the chart title, you can add a text box to the chart.
In the text box, you can type the title text, or link to a worksheet cell.

To link to a cell:

Click on the chart to select it
Type an equal sign -- you'll see it appear in the formula bar
(you don't need to click in the formula bar before typing)
Click on the cell that contains the text for the chart, e.g. C6
Press the Enter key.
Drag the text box from the centre of the chart to the top
Use the buttons on the formatting toolbar to format the text

Does anyone know why whatever I right as a title for the yy axis, I always
get a title window that is not long enough for the written title (regardless
of font size). There are always hidden letters. And the size of the window is
not changeable.
Many thanks
