Default how do i link shape to a cell in excel

Sorry for the delay in replying.

And you verified the arrow object has the same properties selected as the
square? Does the arrow object move at all, or is it a matter of it not moving
to the spot it once was? Are you resizing the cell? This would cause the
arrow to point to a different part of the rectangle...

Thanks for the reply and I am part way there with your answer. I draw a
rectangle over one corner of my cell, put data in my cell, connect that
rectangle with another drawn object and then move the cell with the data.
The rectangle follows and stays overtop the moved cell, but the arrow
connector does not stay connected to the rectangle that moved with my cell.
I hope that makes sense

After you enter the drawing object on yoru worksheet, right-click on it.
Select Format AutoShape. Click the Properties tab. Ensure Move and Size with
cells is checked.

I want to be able to use connectors to cells so that if I move or resize the
cell, it stays connected
