Multiple criteria for Countif
I can't "visualize" your layout very well but I'm sure what you want to do
is fairly easy. If you want to send me a copy of your file I'll fix it up
for you. I'm at:
xl can help at comcast period net
Remove "can" and change the obvious.
Include a detailed explanation of what you want to do.

B3:B8 are fixture dates:
C3:D8 are fixtures i.e. Team 1 V Team 2
. Team 3 V Team 4
. Team 4 V Team 2
. Team 1 V Team 3
. Team 4 V Team 1
. Team 2 V Team 3
E3:F8 are the results of the fixtures.
G3:N6 is a league table where G3:G6 is the column showing how many games
each team has played which I would like to update as results are entered.
Can
you help with a formula that counts the number of games each team has
played
assuming that if the result columns are blank the game is yet to be
played.
I realise you can't use for Countif but at the moment I can't get to grips
with a suitable 'Sumproduct' expression if indeed that is what I need.
Many Thanks
