Default how do you look up a name in a worksheet

Are you sure that auto-filter will work with 22000 names?
I thought that it would only cope with the first 1000?

Quickest way to do this is just to turn on the AutoFilter. Then, just
click
the drop-down in that column to select the name. If you're looking to
have
Excel return a row number value, that would be a little different.

Hi there, I am currently working with alot of data in a excel
spreadsheet,
roughly about 22,000 names and I want to know how you would look up a
particular name if for example you are at row 100 and you can't remember
what
the row that name was in. So basically I want to know how to look up
specific
names within an excel spreadsheet e.g mr joe bloggs in row 24 etc etc

Many thanks
