Default sorting range

Two steps

If in Excel 2003 or older, use Data-Filter-Advanced filter
Choose "Copy to new location: " and give it an address
Check Unique records only
Click on OK
Step 2 is to sort the new list

In Excel 2007, copy your list to an empty column and on the copied data use
"Remove duplicates" from the Data tab, then sort

I have a range of number, about a 1000 rows long, and I want to sort them in
a different column from least to greatest. Most of the numbers are repeated 2
or 3 times so I want to compile a range without any repeats as well.

Any idea how I could do this?

thanks,
