Default Sum Indirect Using R1C1 Style
=SUM(INDIRECT("RC[37]:RC["&42+(R87C6/2)&"]",FALSE))
I'm getting an error on the (R87C6/2) - It doesn't seem to like it.

It works ok if the book is set to R1C1 style, then you drop it in, as-is
