All of the series show in the dialog box; I have 3 series of data that are
formatted as a stacked bar chart, and three series that are formatted as line
charts. Only one of the lines is showing-the other two are not.

Are the added series listed in the Source Data dialog Series tab? if so,
they may be plotted as the incorrect type or against the wrong axes. You can
select a series even if it's somehow obscured by selecting another series
and cycling through series using the up and down arrow keys. Once it's
selected, a series can be moved between primary and secondary axes, and you
can change its type.

Another thing to check is whether you have numerical data in the source data
range for the added series. If the added data is nonnumeric, Excel will not
be able to plot them.
