I have data based over a number of years and i was wondering having converted
teh information dates to mm/yr format how could i get a count of the data for
each month?

Apr-08 COM9635 COM
May-08 TCF6498 TCF
May-08 TRS857 TRS
....

so i am just trying to count the instances in march, april, may etc...
