Default Adding results from a If formula-Short in time
For real numbers, do not wrap within double quotes

Try it like this, in say J3, copied down:
=IF(I3="YES",5,IF(I3="NO",0,""))

Then you can sum it easily using SUM
Eg in say, J11: =SUM(J3:J10)
