Default Calculating Dates

"without having to create the formula"

You actually asked for a formula in the first place and you received 3
correct answers.

I want to create a formula so that when I enter a date in one column

For example:
08/20/08 + 4 = 08/24/08

Have you tried anything yet? Try looking at "Add dates" in the help
file.
Yes, I tried the date plus the the number value and it works fine but is
there a formula that will automatically populate the new date value once
I enter the number value. for instance if I have 08/20/08 in one cell and
I enter 4 in another cell how can I have 08/24/08 appear automatically in
the adjacent cell without having to create the formula in that adjacent
cell? Is there an "If" formula we can use?
