Thanks for keeping me in mind. I'm not sure what is goin on. I guess I need
to play around with Word and Powerpoint as well to make sure all features are
accessible in those programs as well.

One thing that comes to mind.. when I originally updated to 2007 Pro over a
year ago... I remember having some add ons or updates done to Office as soon
as I installed. I searched for updates and found nothing and I added a few
of the add ons that prompted... but I don't think that has anything to do
with it as the inaccessibility was there prior to the add ons.. (If that
makes sense)

I will Google more when i get home from work tonight.

As for "how many times", remember that there is a difference between just
installing and ACTIVATING -- you can install and use both Windows and Office
for a limited time without activating it. It is the activations that are
generally limited. But Microsoft doesn't cut you off completely. Even if
on-line activation fails, you'll be offered a phone number that you can call
24/7 and you can explain the situation to them (moving to a new machine,
reloading onto a failed system as you are, whatever...) and they will give
you a big-loooong number to type in to activate at that time. Be advised,
you have to do this during the point in installation where you're shown the
phone number and you have to enter the number right then - you can't just
write it down and use it later.

So, it's best to install and run for a few days to make sure the
installation is "solid" before actually activating the product.

the drop down menu's on right click of teh mouse, that the same options are
not valid for use.

How many times can I uninstall, reinstall my version on Office 2007
Professional before the validation key locks me out? I can't afford to lose
a $300 upgrade because of this..

Also- does anyone have anything else regarding my original problem and any
possible cure?

Although your description involving the PAGE SETUP/PAGE LAYOUT tools does
sound like you're using 2007.

If we're really talking about 2007, I'd start by using the
Office Button | [Excel Options] | Resources
and then running the Diagnostics to see if it can detect problems and fix
them for you. Even if it reports no problems, if they persist, you may
have
to uninstall and reinstall anyhow.

I'd also look at running disk diagnostics such as CHKDISK to make sure
that
your drive is really healthy now.
