Can you explain what you mean by 'blotter?'

You probably don't mean the object used in the days of quill pens to soak up
excess ink, and Excel wouldn't be very good at creating one of those anyway.
Eliminating that possibility doesn't help us know what you DO mean, however.
We can't help you if we don't know what you want.
