sorting columns sorts header values too
Thanks for the reply John! There are no options when I just use the A to Z
option on the Excel toolbar at the top. is there a way I can just format the
header row so I can do it this way?

Assuming your header row is row 1 (and only 1 row). When you sort, there
should be a check box that says My Range has, it may default to NO HEADER
ROW, just choose HEADER ROW and you should be good to go.

Hi Folks,
I have Excel 2003 updated and I have very simply set up columns of data by
pasting in each column and typing in header names above them at the top of
the worksheet. I select each column and click sort ascending expanded and my
headers are of course rearranged. Is there a way I can sort on the entire
column like this without having the first row moved? Thanks in advance!
