Shortcut to split data from one column into three? HELP!
THANK YOU - problem solved and a new trick learned. MUCH MUCH APPRECIATED!

Go to DataText to Columns
Select the Delimited radio button
Click the relevant checkbox(s). Whatever seperates the city/state/zip. If
a comma or '/' seperates the information select the other option and then
enter whatever applies.
If there is any data in columns after the city/state/zip column you will
want to insert some empty rows to avoid erasing any data in the neighboring
columns.

I have a large sheet of data that needs immediate work done to it so it can
be better used/searched by my boss. He now wants a column currently
containing city/state/zip into three separate columns. I'm sure there is
some way to split these into three columns without having to manually do it
(I just don't have the time - it's a long enough list it would take three
days). But I do not know these functions (macro?) well enough. Is this
possible? Can ANYONE help me with this? I have Excel XP and there doesn't
seem to be Microsoft Support for this product. Thanks!
