Rename the .xlb extension as that is what is actually in the
webpage that Harald suggested. (Remove sounds too much
like delete).

Doesn't look like poster tried opening in safe mode,
or tried clearing out Internet Explorer cache.

Could be a bad worksheet. Try opening a copy of the file on
another computer, or opening with Open Office.

Since there is no single specific answer to such questions, feedback
from the poster is very important to all of us. By the way
you posted Windows 98, but you hid Excel 2000 in the subject
everything should be in the body and not depend on something
being in the subject. Besides which the subject should describe
the problem.
