Default excel ctrl problem

How does the CTRL key react in other applications?

Can you CTRL + c to copy a file and CTRL + v to paste it in a folder?

Hi there
I'm a portuguese user of excel 2007 and I'm experiencing a problem with ctrl
key.

Normally in other excel versions when I press ctrl-c, excel copies the
content of the cell or cell range to the clipboard to paste it on another
part of the spread sheet.

What's happening in my laptop is that when I press ctrl-c the excel acts
like a select all feature and selects all the range of cells that contain
information.
it's kinda like, when I'm in cell a1 and press ctrl-****-end.

this is also happening in ctrl-pgup or ctrl-dn.
When I press these two keys, normally it should change between sheets but
now, nothing happens.

other combination keys might have problems, but now i've just detected these
two.

how can I solve this problem.
I have huge list to work on and I need

best regards
