Hi

When you protect a sheet all cells is locked by default.

The sheet needs to be unprotected, then select the cells where the user
shall be able to enter data, goto Format Cells Protection Uncheck
Locked.

Protect the sheet. Now it's only possible to enter data to cells you
selected above.

Hi Guys,

Anyone can help me with the creation of template? I have tried to create a
sheet template in Excel. All I want to know is how to prevent people from
being able to put the mouse pointer in a specific cell that I don't want
them
to edit. Also for the cell that contains formula and I don't want anyone
to
reset the different fomula in that cell.
For example, the Sales Invoice template in Excel 2003 has this kind of
protection. In the template, we can put mouse pointer on some cell to fill
information but some other cell that has text data cannot be edited. When
we
put the mouse pointer over that cell, there is no mouse pointer at all
there.
