I'm not sure about this. Do you mean an Excel "object"? Like a graph
or picture? If you mean the rows and columns of a sheet, I don't think
I can add anything to my first post. Copy the entire column (not just
your data) to get column widths to copy.
If you want to duplicate an entire file, I usually find it easier to
do it in Windows Explorer, not in Excel. Simply drag it to the new
location while holding down CTRL, then rename it. Alternatively, in
Excel, press F12 for Save As and save a new copy with a new name.
Either of these is much faster than trying to paste into a blank file.
