Let's assume you want to highlight the range A1:E1 if E1 = quote.

Select the range A1:E1

Goto Home tabStylesConditional FormattingNew RuleUse a formula to
determine.......

Enter this formula:

=$E1="quote"

Click the Format button
Select the desired style(s)
OK out
