Default Excel filter won't capture everything in the column - why?

"They" haven't fixed it for the past several versions.

It is not viewed as a problem apparently.

Thank you very much. What a frustration! Hopefully they'll figure that
problem out for the next version!

If you have more than a 1000 unique entries, then that's just the way excel
works. You can only see the first 1000 unique entries using the dropdown.

You can still use a custom filter to show the rows with the other values.

Debra Dalgleish has some work-arounds that you may want to try:

I have filtered a column called Programs. When I open the filter to view the
programs it isn't capturing all of them in the column. I have retyped the
programs that are missing, and still it won't show.

Any ideas or suggestions?

Thanks!
