Default View more than 1 spreadsheet at a time in Excel?

Kevin, thanks! jlclyde's option works better for me, because I can view each
spreadsheet in their own separate, maximized windows (I use two monitors on
my pc) instead of the two spreadsheets sharing space on the same Excel window.

You can click TOOLS on the menu and select OPTIONS and on the VIEW tab check
the WINDOWS IN TASKBAR check box on the right side of the first row of check
boxes.

With two or more workbooks open you can click WINDOW in the menu and select
ARRANGE and select the layout you want from the dialog box. Click OK to view
workbooks.

I'd love to be able to view more than one Excel window at a time because it
would really help in my work requirements and tasks, but even though I may
have 2 or more spreadsheets open, as proven by my taskbar, I can't view more
than one. They both occupy the same "space".

It seems to me that there must be a way around this. I can't be the first
person to need to view more than one spreadsheet simultaneously. Does anyone
know a solution that I am missing?
