How to divide sheet in two or more sets of colums

"Row heights and column widths are properties of the row and column and

changed throughout.
My fingers are shaking and my heart is racing as I type the following.........
You could use the Merge Cells option and merge several cells together
horizontally or vertically.
Merged cells can cause no end of problems with copying, pasting, filtering,
sorting and a few others I can't think of right now.
They do have their purpose, I guess<g

Hello,
I have to create a sheet with 1) 6 columns all different widths, 2) another
6 columns with different widths (side by side with the first 6 columns but
with different data)
and 3) once all data entered in those two sets of 6 colums i then need to
enter data (starting on a blank row but with all the same width for colums.
Is this possible?
If you can sort whatever I am trying to explain here and find a solution i
would be gratetul.
Thank you for your time and efforts re my query
