Default Linking worksheets and formulas

I think this was on your other post also, and I replied there. However, I
didn't notice that you need to get the new percentages from a different
sheet. It looks to me like your formula should be something like:

=SUM(B2*'grading criteria'!$B$10,C2*'grading criteria'!$B$11,D2*'grading
criteria'!$B$12)

Same as I suggested in your other post, but now it has the 'grading
criteria'! needed to point to the grading criteria sheet. I can't figure out
what your book was trying to do with the steps you described.

Hope this helps,

Hutch

A9 B9
Exam type Weight
A10 B10
Exam1 25%
Exam2 25%
Final 50%
they want you to change exam 1 to 15% and final to 60%. I did this
manually. Then they want you to get the crieteria from B10:B12. Original
formula in Column E of sections worksheets is =SUM(B2*0.25+C2*0.25+D2*0.50)
I did what my books says to do. go to sections worksheet make sure they are
still grouped. click on cell e2 and type = click on grading criteria
worksheet and highlight the B10:B12 cells and click on the enter button in
the formula bar. I get and error when it switches back to the sections
worksheets. #Value. What am I doing wrong now?--
