Another one:

Put this in a cell:
=TEXT((ROW(A1)-1)*10+1,"0000")&" - "&TEXT(ROW(A1)*10,"0000")
And drag down 600 rows

Then select that range and convert it to values.
(edit|copy followed by edit|paste special|values)
