Default custom formatting not working

Excel '07, custom formatting problem.

[=10000000]###\,##\,##\,##0;[=100000]##\,##\,##0;##,##0
is accepted as an option

[=10000000000]#,###\,##\,##\,##0;[=10000000]###\,##\,##\,##0;[=100000]##\,##\,##0;##,##0
is not.

why is the latter not accepted? Am trying to accomplish a specific comma
pattern, which, after a number goes from 9999999 to 10000000, patterns the
commas as regular three digit separation points for the numbers above the 10M
mark, but has a 3-2-2 pattern for the ones below (going in reverse order of
'3' for the smallest three digits, 2 for next, and 2 next after that.

If you try the shortened formula (which does work), you'll see the desired
pattern's start. It's the next numbers that I need to force into working as
3-digit separation with which I'm having issues.

Any suggestions?
