Default Macros in Excel 2007

Thanks Harald. The old workbook is .xls format. Will try the suggestion
that you made.

Thanks,

Hi Michelle

Would the old workbook by any chance be a template file (xlt) ? I've had
plenty of trouble with those in 2007.
I'd recommend to create a brand new macro enabled workbook (xlsm) and
copy-paste the old code into it. And from there maybe an addin (xlam).

HTH. Best wishes Harald

We have an issue with Excel 2007 workbooks in our workplace. We have an
Excel 2003 workbook that just contains unlock and lock macros. Our
administrators open this workbook, and then they are able to open
different
lecturers workbooks and apply these macros to lock and unlock specific
cells.

This works fine in Excel 2003, but when they saved the workbooks to Excel
2007 format, although the administrators are still able to open the
lecturers
workbooks, the lecturers get a message saying that the file format in
invalid
or is corrupt.

Any suggestions as to what the problem could be? Any help appreciated.
