Maybe they're objects (like charts/buttons/textboxes) that have been collapsed
because you deleted rows.
If you show the Drawing toolbar, you can click on the arrow icon and "lasso" one
of the objects. Then you can either resize it (to see what it was) or delete
it.
Remember to hit that arrow icon to toggle back to normal edit mode.
