Default Page Numbers

Michael

If you "Group" all of the worksheets first, set up the footer to show page
numbers the way you want, and print, they should have sequential page
numbers. And don't forget to ungroup because any changes made to one sheet
will be reflected on all sheets while grouped.

A friend of mine has an Excel file with fifty worksheets. He can select all
the sheets for printing, but each new sheet gets a new page number, that is,
they all get page number one. And idealy, he would like it to say 1 of 50 and
2 of 50, etc. in the footer. Is there any way to advance the page number even
if the output comes from different sheets and determine the total page
number? I suspect setting up a variable in VB and advancing it by one for
each new page, but my experience with VB is limited to Access so if someone
could help me out I would be very grateful.
